KO Cup Method
We have decided to run the KO cup as a drawn event this year based on feedback from some teams over recent years.
As the competition runs week after week, we have pre drawn the competition down to a final. This works in the same way as the football FA cup draw where the first number out of the hat is the home team and will therefore play an extra end at that venue in the event of a draw.
You will see from the draw that Didcot Bowls Hounds have been drawn a bye and their number was drawn first in the next round. They will play the winner of game 7 in the next round (Stanford or Wootton Chiefs). The benefit of drawing this at the start of the competition is that everyone should know where they are next when the results come out each week which will be on a Friday.
We hope that you enjoy the new format. The losers of the first round matches will go into the plate which has also been pre drawn.
It will be played as one triple at Home & one triple Away in the same week the games will be 3 woods over 12 ends, all other rules are as the S&V League
